Format:Audio CD
I got this album after seeing Diana on American Idol Series 3, although I also liked Fantasia I think Diana should've won. She's got a voice like Kelly Clarkson, and co-incidently has the same producer(Clive DAvis) which means 'Blue Skies' is quite similar to Kelly's debut 'Thankful', however this is no bad thing.The majority of songs have that pop/rock edge that seems to go down really well Stateside. My fave songs are 'Cardboard Castles', 'Emotional' (originally on Michelle McManus' album), 'Difference in Me', 'Til You Want Me', 'Dreams'(her debut single, in same vein as 'All This Time', 'Moment Like This' et al) and 'Dont Cry Out Loud'. Quite honestly there isnt a bad song on the album, the down-point is the rather limp 'Go On and Cry' and even that isnt so bad. Overall, I feel Diana has come up with a really solid debut and is a cut above the likes of Hilary Duff and Lindsay Lohan. I just hope like Kelly Clarkson she gets a bit of recognition over this side of the Atlantic.

I'm a great fan of American Idol. I thought that Diana's
performances just got better and better and that she
deserved better than the runner up spot. I also thought
that Latoya London went home much too early.
I have now heard both their albums and this one is a belter.
If you are a fan of Kelly Clarkson or Avril Lavigne
( or even both ) you must, i repeat must buy this
album, because it rocks!
To highlight this if you get your own copy play track4
'Then I Woke Up' and track 7 'The Difference In Me'
and prepare to be blown away.
