4.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining frolics 31 Dec 2007
By S J Buck TOP 500 REVIEWER
Whilst not quite as good as the first St Trinians film this is nevertheless still a very entertaining film. As the film opens Flash Harry (George Cole) is trying to sell the St Trinians Marriage Bureau to an Italian Prince. The Prince insists that he must see the goods before committing himself so to speak.... You can see where this is leading - the St Trinians girls through a fiendish plan get to travel to Rome and wreak havoc.

Before this happens the new Headmistress is locked in the bell tower and the Army are failing miserably to control the school. Its all great fun. One thing that is better about this film, over the first, is the addition of Terry Thomas, who is his usual cadish self. There is something magical about Terry Thomas on the screen. It really doesn't matter that he plays the same role everytime, in these sort of films hes perfect.

The rest of the cast are basically the same except that Alistair Sim only has a small role, which one of the reasons this isn't as good as the first film. Overall though throughly enjoyable.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good, HAPPY viewing 2 Aug 2009
Get the tea, coffee, Coca-Cola or Pepsi and crisps or popcorn, and sit and watch a film - THIS FILM - with laughter, charm and style.

The title of this film is a bit misleading and it may discourage potential buyers. This is in my opinion the best of the St Trinian's bunch - and that's saying something. Truly a tour de force in comedic value.
