You'd think that you hit the tubes to make noises wouldn't you?

Well you don't. This is not a set of acoustic percussion tubes. It's an electronic device with light sensitive sensors inside the tubes that generate noises when you waft the paddles over them.

It's plasticky gimmicky cack frankly. There's no indication on Amazon that this isn't an acoustic instrument. The packaging was almost impossible to open and I almost damaged the thing trying to open the package.

Fortunately, once I did manage to open it, there was a handy guide to opening the packaging in the user manual. So if I get another one, I'll know in advance.
