At 27, I am probably too old to be reading (and enjoying) YA fantasy fiction; but Maggie is probably the best author of the genre (in my humble opinion). Everything kicks off from the start in Blue Lily, Lily Blue as the teens continue their search for the Welsh king Glendower; we come across new (and old) characters and the story takes some unexpected turns, I found it very hard to put the book down. I enjoyed the changes in Adam and Ronan; they seem to have developed and matured since the last book. The slowly blossoming romance between Gansey and Blue got me rather excited as well; Noah still has me a bit puzzled, but I'm hoping there will be more from him in the next book. I love Maggie's style of writing; the detail, descriptions and characters make me forget that her books are mainly written for young adults. I can't wait for the next instalment in the series. The Raven Cycle books are much better than any of the others I have read from this genre in the past. I strongly recommend them to readers of all ages (maybe not too young). Thank you Maggie!

Blue Lily, Lily Blue is by far the most thrilling, spellbinding, fast-paced book in The Raven Cycle series so far.
It was creepy, sexy at times, and dark.

Let me just begin by saying how I grew to absolutely adore Blue in this book. In the previous two books, I found she had as much of a personality as a goldfish. Now, however, I am so pleased to say that she has finally developed a sense of humour (i.e "Noah exploded" "A chest cold?" And whenever she's wailing at old men in gas stations.)
The most touching developments in this book is Ronan and Blue's relationship. It made me bawl. Ronan cares for her as if she were his little sister.
And also Gansey and Blue's relationship, too. CAN YOU TWO JUST KISS ALREADY! WAIT, NO, DON'T, BECAUSE I DON'T WANT GANSEY TO DIE!
The most difficult part of shipping them is shipping them.
I love Adam. I admire how he refuse to let his father get to him. He's brave.
And Noah is a little rebel. I love him so much, regardless of the fact that he is dead …
Piper and Greenmantle are absolutely ridiculous. Especially Piper. Dear God.

This book had me hooked from the first page. Such a suspenseful journey, full of forbidden romance, heartache, heartbreak, and loss.

If you've read the previous two books in this series I think you will probably love this one. Its Maggie's classic dreamy prose, and the characters you have come to love, plus a few new ones, some adorable, some awful.

It was nice to see a different side to Adam this time round, and the moments between Gansey and Blue were so fragile and brilliant. I loved Gansey's professor friend, who was a bit bonkers, and the guy guarding the entrance to the cave (who's name excapes me!). Ronan has less of a prominent role in this book, but what story he has is brilliant, and heartbreaking. All the characters backstories are intriguing and I enjoyed finding out more about them.

I can see some people might criticise this book for having less plot, and being one big build up to the final book, but I think with this series I trust Maggie will take us on the right journey, and her writing is so beautiful, and her characters so interesting and sympathetic and well-developed, that I am more than happy to come along for the ride and see where we end up. It does feel like a symphonic build up to the grand finale though, and the end is an epic cliffhanger so I am desperate for the final book to come out!

Maggie Stiefvater has done it again! I don't want to say too much because it will just spoil the book but Oh! Gansey and Blue! I can't wait for the next book, but knowing that it's the last one I don't want it to come around too soon because then it will all be over. And I really don't want that.
Absolutely fantastic.

Once the Raven Cycle has you in it's grasp, there's no escape: that's a good thing because personally I never want to be without these amazing characters! Maybe described as a teen book but as someone who left teens behind an age ago, they still manage to haunt my dreams! Steifvater is a genius!

I love this series of books. They are all very well-written and has interesting characters and an excellent plot.
I like books where I am hooked on the story of at least one character but here they all feel like family, I don't want anything bad to happen to any of them.
The story continues here revealing new mysteries and clues to a never-ending search project. New enemies are awaken and terrible secrets lie underfround but the main characters remain one of the key focus. Adam is changing, Ronan is growing on me more and more and the terrible fate that awaits Gansey is getting closer.

Can't believe I have to wait for the finale of this fantastic saga! Maggie Stiefvater's writing never fails to keep you addicted, her imagination is outstanding.
I'm not a fan of reading a review and it be a summary of the book. What I like to know is how it made you feel whilst reading it. For me I get goose pimples, and I can't stop reading until Its finished. That's when you know it's a good read. Really need to know what happens next though!!!!
