Book Description

Lights... Camera... Murder...

Haunted by the guilt of watching his best friend self-destruct on a cocktail of drink and drugs, Matthew Gray turns his back on a highly successful but now unfulfilling career playing action-hero cop, Saul Brogan, to seek out Graeme’s killer and bring them to justice. But as they lay his fellow thespian to rest, yet another actor disappears in ever more suspicious circumstances. Matt calls upon the expertise of the brilliant but understated criminologist and conspiracy theorist, Iain Callaghan, to join him in a journey across borders and into the dark and dangerous world of a sadistic serial killer. With time ticking away, can they crack the case and save any more souls from the promise of a horrific fate?

5.0 out of 5 stars Murder in the West Midlands 2 April 2013

I thought this was a really good read, with a well devised plot and an exciting ending. It's a whodunnit, set in the context of the acting profession, and in which the murderer decides to eliminate his or her (I'd best not give anything away!) victims in the context of their acting role. Matt, whose actor friend is the first victim, assumes the role of private eye and investigates.

Obviously I mustn't say how it ends, except to mention that Matt brings about a successful dénouement in the lower parts of Wolverhampton railway station. The station has a complex extensive lower part that is not normally seen by the average rail traveller, but is a suitably sinister venue for an exciting finish.

An excellent purchase at only £3.99!
