5.0 out of 5 stars A sweet, warm and touching story, 23 Mar 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: The Blue Hour (Paperback)
After having read all of Kate Thompson's novels I was slightly suprised by this. It tells the tale of Maddie, a successful woman who after an horrific ordeal leaves for France to overcome her demons and re-enter the world once again. In this novel Thompson includes a harsh aspect of reality seldom touched upon in this genre. For anyone who has read Thompson's mischief books they will enjoy the return of Deidre and Rory a now very happy married couple.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must for lying on the Beach, 4 Mar 2006
This review is from: The Blue Hour (Paperback)
This was the first ever Kate Thompson book that I read and i haven't looked back since. I was disappionted to see only one person had given it a review, so here goes...
This is one of those books that gets under your skin and you will read again and again. Like all of Kate's books it allows you to escape into a wee world and loose yourself for a couple of hours.
The story itself will have you laughing and crying at the same time and ultimately leave you wanting more, which is why Kate Thompson is so good because some of the main characters in her books have cameo roles in later books! I have written this review just now as holiday season is approaching and this would be a classic for the beach.
Happy reading! If you enjoy then Kate has a cracking website where you can check out the rest of her books.<
