Product Description

Product Description

Professional actors at last, the seven young members of the Blue Door Theatre company are now proudly in charge of Fenchester's first commercial theatre. The day-to-day pressures of financing the theatre and choosing box-office attractions are soon eclipsed by an event that threatens to close the theatre only months after its opening.

This novel, the fourth in the Blue Door series, sees the seven characters from The Swish of the Curtain embarking on an exciting adventure that leads them far away from the stage of the Blue Door Theatre.

I loved this story. Having only heard of "The Swish of the Curtain" as a child, it has been great to see longwater re-release the full text and that they haven't updated them for a modern audience. The orginal text looses something otherwise. This story takes the Blue Doors further away fron Fenchester but keeps a theatrical theme running throughout. I really hope that Longwater Books now finish the set by releasing Maddy again, and then consider some of Pamela Brown's other titles.

It is nice to meet old friends again! It is great that some of these older books are being reprinted now.
