For the first time King enters the world of games, with this strange collection of games, screensavers, and a novella. It must be said that this has a large novelty value, and because of that it depends on the individual person whether they like it or not. I found it great for the first two weeks, and then my interest began to tail off somewhat. Some of the features last longer than others - the screesavers for example. The three games (one of which you have to splat bugs, another zombies, and the third feed pirana's with cows) are largly reactionary games and I soon found myself tiring of them. The bug and zombie games espesiously are funny at first and then go downhill. The pirana game is probably the best because it lasts the longest, but it soon becomes nasty and repetitive. The novella is good but is not up to Kings average work and certainly doesn't class among Carrie and Hearts in Atlantis. I found the screensaver and noise effects to be the best - I have the haunted house one as my wall paper, it changes seasons as time goes on. All in all this is basically a standard computer package, fun and makes a perfect christmas present for a teenager, and a must for all Stephen King completists, but that is all it is.
