5.0 out of 5 stars Interesting points on bullying., 4 May 2001
By A Customer
This is yet another great book by Judy Blume. It all starts when a plump girl called Linda reads her project on the whale. Her class esp. Jill takes great fun in teasing her and calling her 'Blubber' but the tables soon turn when Jill is teased by the class and is called 'Baby Brenner' by her best fiend. This is a must read if your ever thinking about hurting someones feelings or calling them names. It shows the consequences and how you can be a bully without even knowing it. This book is a short easy read it is probably aimed between the ages of 8-11. I am 12 though and have read it many times.

3.0 out of 5 stars It is a very good book,. Not as good as others by Judy Blume, 30 Jun 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Blubber (Hardcover)
When chubby Linda reads out her whale prodject she doesn't realise all the teasing was going to be done to her. When she read out her whale project everybody was sniggering. Jill joins in all the cruel and unkind teasing because she thought Linda deserved it, but Linda certainly doesn't. A BRILLIANT READ FOR 9 YEAR OLDS!

I read this as a young teen and now my daughter is also working her way through Judy Blume books. Just as relevant today as 20ish years ago.
