Looking at the reviews, it seems I'm the only one having this issue. Having never watched a Blu-ray before (I bought this for the DVD), I thought I'd try the Blu-ray in my PS3.

However, the movie just doesn't look right. Backgrounds are beautiful, but the characters have a slight jagged pixelated quality to them. It reminded me of older videogames with hand-drawn backgrounds and animated/3D characters running around on top.

I tried different settings on the PS3 to see if they could be smoothed out a little, but no luck. Anyone else noticed this at all?

You sure it's not because they are hand drawn characters?

@Sawyer, probably it's a problem of the TV, not of the player (PS3). First, be sure that the PS3 is outputting the Blu-Ray as 1080p at 24 fps. Done that, operate on the TV's settings: reduce the sharpness (and maybe remove the edge enhacement, if your TV has it) until the "pixelation" in gone.
