A remake of the 1981 classic horror film, My Bloody Valentine stars Jensen Ackles and Jaime King and is directed by Patrick Lussier (The Eye).
Ten years ago, a tragedy changed the town of Harmony forever. Tom Hanniger, an inexperienced coal miner, caused an accident in the tunnels that trapped and killed five men and sent the only survivor, Harry Warden, into a permanent coma. But Harry Warden wanted revenge. Exactly one year later, on Valentine's Day, he woke up...and brutally murdered twenty-two people with a pickaxe before being killed.
Ten years later, Tom Hanniger returns to Harmony on Valentine's Day, still haunted by the deaths he caused. Struggling to make amends with his past, he grapples with unresolved feelings for his ex-girlfriend, Sarah, who is now married to his best friend, Axel, the town sheriff. But tonight, after years of peace, something from Harmony's dark past has returned. Wearing a miner's mask and armed with a pickaxe, an unstoppable killer is on the loose. And as his footsteps come ever closer, Tom, Sarah and Axel realize in terror that it just might be Harry Warden who's come back to claim them...

i watched this a few times to see if it got better and i can say it sure did not! . i found the plot real cheesey as well as the acting and the killer is so easy to guess!. shame really they coulda made this one a cracker.

Having seen the reviews of this film, I was seriously not expecting it to be any good at all. However it is a great film, if you like the old 80s style horror movies. I thoroughly enjoyed it and have watched it may times, and still enjoy it! If you are expecting a saw type horror, then this isn't for you! If you like Nightmare on Elm Street type films, then I think you would like this.
The 3D was brilliant. I watched it with my projector on a 92" screen and the effects are very good. I know some reviewers says it's not great, but I think that may be down to the size of screen it is being watched on. The bonus is that the 3D version comes with a normal dvd as well.

Having seen this in the cinema with proper 3D glasses, and thinking this wasn't bad for a remake (even though you can see the plot twist coming a mile off), I thought I'd give the DVD a go. However, the 3D glasses included are the old fashioned cardboard red and blue ones, which give me a bit of a headache. Never mind, as this also includes the 2D version, which I think is very clever as its a reversible DVD (I've never had one before).
All in all, not bad for a remake I thought, but probably only for die-hard horror fans :)

This DVD was bought on the understanding that it was in 3D. it is NOT in 3D. It is just an ordinary DVD and an ex rental copy at that. Read more

Let's hope 3D can get better
Yes, I have a large screen TV but I think 3D is a long way off being fun, or even scary. The picture quality in 3D was amazingly poor - fuzzy background etc.. Read more

Amazon product and delivery as usual first class. The DVD was ok but a bit silly but many people will like the suspense.
