3.0 out of 5 stars Roll up, roll up! 12 Oct 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
On the whole we are presented with a varied and entertaining mix of horror stories with circus or carnival as their setting. It has to be said that some tales are a little predictable and you can guess how they will end before you get there
But some will raise goosebumps! If this doesn't put you off clowns, nothing will! On the whole not a bad collection.

I would recommend to any Halloween lover or someone, like me, who wanted to get into the holiday spirit. Stories well chosen and paired to make a good read as a whole.

2.0 out of 5 stars Bloody Awful Is More Like It 25 July 2012
By Rogue - Published on
I bought this book for $1.00 at our library book sale, and I am beyond glad that I didn't spend any more than that. Lots of scary clowns, scary ringmasters, boogedy boogedy boo. Lots of repetition. There are two stories that I can honestly say that I enjoyed, "The Really Big Surprise" by Robert Essig gave me a smile, and "Ghostface and the Last Ride of Boots Gurney" by Kent Alyn was just a nifty little read. Aside from that, none of the other stories made much of an impact on me, although I recall a lot of eye rolling and sighs of exasperation. This will not be a book that I reread from time to time. Save your $17.00 for another purchase, this just isn't worth the price.
