5.0 out of 5 stars Another Shannow classic 18 Mar 2002
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
Once again Gemmell grabs the reader with an epic adventure that draws you into a world so far removed from this one, yet echoing with the heroic sentiments that should remain in our own. Shannow is the least recognisable hero in Gemmell's books, not only battling all who stand against him but also his own inner demons. A complex character who never becomes pretentious or annoying to the reader but constantly forces them to re-examine their opinions of him. Bloodstone is a fitting conclusion to the Shannow triology that will not disappoint Gemmell, Shannow fans or even new admirers. Superb.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of his cleverest books to date 28 July 2000
Format:Paperback
Of all of Gemmell's heroes Jon Shannow is perhaps the most rutheless and has the highest body count.

He must now face an evil thought put down in Wolf in Shadow that has grown out of all proportion. A very clever book that really pokes fun at itself, I would recommend reading its presecessors though.

4.0 out of 5 stars Last of trilogy 23 May 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Unusual finale to the trilogy with the main character retaining his unswerving ideals by which he lives. 2nd time I have read the story and thoughroughly enjoyed it.

Another amazing book from gemmell. A great fantasy which mixes cowboys, religion and magic set in a post-apocolyptic world. A great end to the trilogy.
