David Gilman's debut The Devil's Breath is a lot of fun . . . What Gilman, a successful scriptwriter, does superlatively is heart-pounding action (Amanda Craig The Times )

A big solid blockbuster, packed with tough men, beautiful women and exotic locations. (On The Devil's Breath Guardian )

Hi,

I'm 15 Years Old - and the closest thing you will ever find to an expert on all major fictional spy series ever published in English, From James Bond - to Cherub and Alex Rider - without talking to the authors themselves.

After devouring the first two books, I was eagerly awaiting the release of "Blood Sun" and when it finally arrived I was far from disappointed. Another smashing episode in what is becoming an incredible series - and as I stated in my review of "Ice Claw" I fail to comprehend how this series is still relatively unknown. Blood Sun would make a fantastic book on the shelf beside Alex Rider and Jimmy Coates, as it really is of that class, no doubt about it. A mixture of unique story line and brilliantly captivating writing style kept me from putting the book down till I had finished it - and I beg Gilman to continue the series. To stop now would be such a terrible, terrible waste...

Max Gordon trilogy 12 Aug 2011
By JMR
Format:Paperback
I would recommend the trilogy of Max Gordon adventures : Blood Sun, Devil's Breath & Ice Claw for boys(or girls)aged 12-14 who enjoy the Alex Rider style of books. You really need to read all three in order as background events are sequential.
