boring! 11 Feb 2012
By squash
Format:Mass Market Paperback
This Book will surely set a Record in the supply of completely unnecessary detail.Never throughout the Pages does it bring the Story of this Murder, alive,to the Reader.I discovered various details about the Police Officers and Investigators, which added nothing to the interest of the Reader.Would definately not recommend this Book to anyone.

He Does It Again 26 April 2011
By T. Henderson - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Mass Market Paperback
I stumbled upon my first Tom Henderson true crime book seven or eight years ago and bought it because we share a name. I loved it and have bought all the others as they came out. The last one disappointed a tad because basically all the main characters were unlikeable, but Blood in the Snow is great! I loved the cops working the case, especially Koz. And the black humor had me laughing out loud, especially Stephen Grant's drug-fueled drive to northern Michigan as police were searching his house and finding body parts, and his run through a blizzard at the aptly named Wilderness State Park. There was some hilarious dialogue by the cops who babysat him in the hospital after he was found shoeless in the now. I bought this book Saturday and had it finished by Sunday night. Fantastic!

Difficult to read 11 July 2011
By S. Howard - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Mass Market Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I've read quite a few true crime stories, but this was my first by Tom Henderson. I finished it because I wanted to know how it ended, but it was difficult to get through. It appears as though Mr. Henderson is attempting to make his writing sound like an old-time detective novel. The writing is clipped, as he constantly leaves out articles and conjunctions in very short sentences. Some people must enjoy reading this writing style, but I just found it annoying. This will be my last book by Mr. Henderson.

Do not like. Will move on 1 Jun 2011
By S. Murray - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Obviously I am not on the bandwagon for this author that other reviewers on here are. First of all, the short, clipped writing style in the present tense is not entertaining, but rather annoying and it comes off as gimmicky. Secondly, no pictures, at least in the kindle version I read. But most importantly is that the author, after speculating the entire book about the so-called all important motive for murder being some seemingly innocuous affair with some au pair, fails to even acknowledge the most obvious motive...financial. Did Tara Grant have life insurance or other financial means of making her husband rich if she disappeared? Did Stephen Grant stand to financially benefit from her death other than movie/book deals? You will never know by reading this book. Put simply, this book does not deserve the praise the other devoted fans of this author have heaped on him for this lackluster effort. This may as well be some lines from the book... "Does not like it. Will move on. Will find other books to read." Whatever.
