Product Description

Product Description

"We have won, brother. The Three are no more and those who remain have clearly reached a stalemate in combatting the General and his army. All that is left for us to do is take everything and let chaos rule. I only wait for Calhoun to return so we might continue our search for Kiarra. A promise was made to us and I will see it fulfilled."

The countdown for the final battle begins.

5.0 out of 5 stars A brilliant series of stories 21 Dec 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is just a quick review, written late at night, and I hope to improve it soon. I can hardly express how delighted I am to read the final book in Connie Suttle's amazing story. In a series of twenty-six books she has created an amazing universe populated with many different life-forms, with a continuing story of their thoughts and actions. The characters are real and I grew to love them over the months as I read them.

I can only compare her creation with Tolkien's Lord of the Rings series, yet Tolkien did not write as much, or create so many different characters, and I cannot think of anyone else who has been so creative and productive. Many of Connie's main characters are female, so the books especially appeal to women. Connie's characters have lightened my life, and I am very grateful to her for my enjoyable trips into her imagination. I do not know of any other author who has such a good imagination, and her work is wonderful.

4.0 out of 5 stars good ending 11 Jan 2014
By FireFly
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The start of this book wasn't as good as the others. For those who enjoyed the rest of the series perseverance through that is worth it. The storyline in unnecessarily convoluted at times, as someone who has an excellent memory for all things and events in books it took a while for me to catch up and I kept having to go back an pd check things. However it's a good, tie up all the lose ends, typical ending which is pretty much what I expected from this series. The writing is still good and I read it in on go once I go past chapter 1 which is what brought it up from a 3 to a 4. Personally I think it has too many main characters and I preferred it when the whole book was told from one point of view but that's just me. If you haven't read the other books go back to Blood Wager since it's amazing and otherwise this series is not going to make sense...

As in the title this was a fantastic series. Loved every edition and will be buying them in paperback next. Cannot wait for Connie's next series hope it's set in the same world with some much loved characters making an appearance.

1.0 out of 5 stars disappointing 16 Jun 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Connie Suttle could have made the God Wars amazing, instead I feel that as an author she hasn't progressed. Far too many main characters, many of them not needed, several sentences at a time of being made up of names in a room is sloppy writing, and all of the characters have similar back stories.

I would much rather have read less books in each series with more quality in the writing than over 20 books that have at times felt rushed.

I had high expectations for this series and the books failed to deliver. The biggest shame being that Connie has brought in some interesting ideas and concepts, possibly too many all at once, but still interesting. She has the makings of a good author, but needs to focus on quality as opposed to quantity, in order to deliver the ideas, and understand that a few main characters with solid and different ban stories is much better than 50 odd central characters who are pretty much all the same.

All of her books have been okay, but sadly just okay. And the fact they could have been amazing is frustrating.
