This novel continues from the last with Gaia trying to come to terms with Mary's death. She is pushing all those close to her away - Ed and is spending all her time looking for Skizz who she blames for her death not knowing that is was her uncle, Loki! Ed is trying to get through to her but she even starts to act cruel which just pushes Ed towards her enemy, Heather. Meanwhile, Heather and Sam are still having trouble and Heathers thinks her sister is starving herself and the only person she can talk to is Ed. The book is well written and the great format is the same as previous novels. Recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fearless #9: Blood -- Someone will pay big time.... 11 Feb 2001
By "shayamorph" - Published on
Format:Mass Market Paperback
Mary Moss is dead. She was fun. She was friendly. She made Gaia's depressing life seem so normal. She made Gaia's life so enjoyable.
Gaia is devastated over her friend's death. She will do anything it takes to taste the blood of Mary's killer. She will stalk him down until she finds him. She will kill him, and let him have a taste of revenge.
Gaia has gone after Skizz, the drug dealer whom Gaia believes had killed Mary. When she finds him, she will let him know that he is going to die hard because of killing the one person she truly needed to make her appeciate life while it was there.
Francine Pascal brings Fearless #9: Blood to an astonishing and deep ending that makes readers feel Gaia's pain and need for revenge of her friend's heartbreaking death. It is not a book of the Fearless series to be missed; dramatic and intriguing, a new side of Gaia Moore who is fearless is shown that the author didn't fail to bring out in an amazing addition to the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Blood(Fearless No. 9) was great 4 Jun 2001
A Kid's Review - Published on
Format:Mass Market Paperback
Mary Moss, who is Gaias' best friend, has died. She was tragically murdered. Mary made Gaia's out of the norm life seem almost regular. She also made Gaias' life worth living for, because she was pretty much Gaias' only friend, but now she's gone forever. This book is about how devastated Gaia is over her friends death. She is filled with rage and is after Marys' killer. She thinks she knows who it is and is ready to find and kill him for revenge. So, Gaia is after Skizz, a greasy drug dealer, whom Mary owed money.Since Skizz has threatend Mary's life before, she finds Skizz to be the most logical murderer. When Gaia finds Skizz she plans on giving him a taste of his own medicine, death.Gaia finds it crucial to kill Skizz because Mary was the only person who actually ment something to her,she feels she owes it to Mary. Fearless No.9 is an extremely deep and powerful book. It unravels a new Gaia and makes you feel her pain and hearthache. You also understand her need for revenge. This book is more intense than any other book in the Fearless series, so far. I found myself unable to put this book down.Francine Pascal has gone to a new, higher, and better level. The ending is a complete surprise. Blood(Fearless No.9)is a great addition to this series.

4.0 out of 5 stars Really rather violent... 7 Feb 2001
By Kelly - Published on
Format:Mass Market Paperback
Gaia's blood lust in this book is really dissapointing to me. In all of the previous books, she uses her "powers" to help other people and promote goodness. In the begining of this book she deliberately tries to pick a fight with a drug dealer. He's not a nice guy, and it would be nice to be rid of some scum like that, but when he refuses to fight her, Gaia calls for the police. This is done just so she can beat him to a pulp. I can understand that Gaia's behavior *~ Okay, if you havn't read the previous books... ...We finally start to get more information about Tom Moore, Ella Niven, and Loki Moore. At the begining of the series, their presences are vague and foggy, but as the series progressed and especially in the last few books, they have become more prominent characters. Francine Pascal's writing ability still shines true in her books and _Blood_ is no exception. I'd recommend the Fearless series to all young adults. Despite this little run in with violence, the books are well written and very interesting.

5.0 out of 5 stars the best book so far in the series 5 Aug 2002
By tammy - Published on
Format:Mass Market Paperback
what do you do when your best friend has been murdered in front of you but a scum bag drug dealer? for the average person, it is
cry, go to the funeral and get over it. but for gaia, she has plans. she plans to track him down and kill him if it is the last thing she does. nothing will stop her on her quest, not even
her other best friend, ed or the guy she secretly loves. what she
does not know is that her uncle loki is looking on closely at these events, knowing that if she kills someone in cold blood that she will finally be ready for his evil plans. this book is
full of so many twists and turns and a very surprise ending that
it is a definite read.

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellant addition to the Fearless series. 30 Jun 2000
By Rebecca Herman - Published on
Format:Mass Market Paperback
After her friend Mary is murdered, seventeen-year-old Gaia Moore, born without the fear gene, is determined to avenge the death by killing the drug dealer she believes was responsible. What she doesn't know is that her father, an anti-terrorist agent she hasn't seen in years, since the night her mother was killed, is secretly watching over her, determined to prevent her from making a mistake that will ruin her life. But in her grief, Gaia's nearly over the edge. It will take her friend Ed's help to give her a reason to shape up. This was an excellant addition to the sereis, although rather depressing. I would reccomend reading the books in order, however.
