I bought this because it looked like a really quirky, fun way to store magazines and it does not take up too much space. However, there is a fundamental problem with the design: it is too small for the purpose it was made for. Unless the magazines are particularly stiff, they just flop over making the whole thing look rather untidy, and when it is full you can't see much of the rack anyway, which kind of defeats the object of having a cool looking magazine rack. A relatively small increase in size would probably solve these issues and make the product actually fit for purpose.

Well made looks good but using it for storing our mail it's a bit too small for a magazine rack.

Compact Option for Reading Storage 20 Mar 2014

I bought this to hold toddler books for our son who is in the process of potty training. We needed something to hold his books in the bathroom & since his Elmo potty book is about 1mm too large to cram into either of our existing bathroom magazine racks, I had to find something else. Our bathroom is obscenely small which is why I sprung for this - that & it's 1/2 the price of the other cheap racks out there.

It's very compact - which is perfect - and the spaces for the magazines/books are well sized - about .75-1" wide. You can easily fit 2 magazines in each. One of his books is one of those musical books with a panel of buttons on the side that play animal sounds - that fits in there perfectly.

The one thing I didn't think of is that due to the design, once your literature is in the slot for it, it's going to be slanted. If it's a magazine, no big deal, but a rigid board book (especially one that's pretty much the exact size of the slot) - it can be kinda awkward.

It's also a bit wobbly, but in all fairness that could also be from our tiles (not sure how level the floor is right there).

Ultimately - if you need something compact - this is the perfect option - and with a price like this I don't think it can be beat. It definitely has helped make my claustrophobic bathroom seem a bit less chaotic...
