5.0 out of 5 stars Absolute blockbuster 8 Mar 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is my 5th Conrad Jones book..only two to go unfortunately..and I'm reading them one after the other. Every one sems to be better than the one before, and this one follows the trend! It's an absolute cracker.
As usual the author takes a topical and totally credible theme..in this case based on a factual situation..and takes the reader through a truly exciting ride, filled with twists and turns, always including a major 'I never saw that coming' piece of action.
'Tank' Tankerville is here to stay..indestructable but also strangely vulnerable in some situations. But a real, unforgettable action hero, whose exploits will cause you to read this book well into the night..its simply so difficult to put down.
For anyone reading this review who has not yet tried Conrad Jones' books, this particular one is a stand-alone story so can be read out of sequence. But to get the best out of it, and to really get 'into' the characters, I would urge you to start at Soft Target 1 and work your way through in sequence.
Conrad Jones' genius is in having the creative imagination to conceive of a story and to follow it through to its conclusion whilst holding the reader totally gripped. Its a talent not given to many and those of us who enjoy a good thriller can only be thankful that, at perhaps a later stage of his life than many authors, Conrad has felt able to share his story-telling skills with us all. These are books not to be missed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Could not put this book down! 13 Sep 2009
Format:Paperback
I read this book in one go as I had to know what was going to happen next! I really enjoyed the fast paced action and the convincing plot. I'm not normally a thriller reader but I will now read some more Conrad Jones books. I think this would make a good film.

4.0 out of 5 stars Keep em coming ! 12 Feb 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have now read several of Conrad's books and find myself enjoying them more each time. If you have read his others and enjoyed them then this one will not disappoint.I like the pace of the book and there is enough detail in the plot without over doing the technical blurb, it also a thought provoking storyline. I will continue to read his work.

5.0 out of 5 stars An absolute page turner!!!! 18 July 2011
By Drew
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I was looking for some new books before heading off on holiday when I came across a very positive review for Conrad Jones. I downloaded 1 book - I read a few pages then downloaded the rest. (Well at £0.98 pence a book you cannot go wrong can you???)

Within 5 days I have read 5 books and to say I am hooked is an understatement.

Conrad tells the story in a way that is totally believable around plots that are even more believable which makes them totally frightening.

This is a real page turner and for £0.98 is a bargain.

Fun read, but it (and the other couple in the series that I've read) would defiantly be more enjoyable if it was proofred purpley;-)
