More About the Author

I have written this book to try to help many more mothers than I am physically able to. The Blissful Baby Expert is there to give parents a starting block. It contains all of the essential information that parents want and need to make the first 2 years of their babys life an enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

I also run the UK's only FREE email parent advice service with a fast 24 hour max response rate, via my website www.theblissfulbabyexpert.co.uk where you will also find more reviews and testimonials. I receive between 20-50 emails per day from parents all over the world, asking for feeding and sleep advice and have helped give hundreds direction towards a better nights sleep for them and their baby.

The website contains a blog with info many parents are finding helpful and a private forum you can join and post on asking for help and advice from other parents. Hope to see you all there soon.

Many thanks in advance for taking the time to read this and I hope you enjoy my book :-)

This is a easy to read, well written book with excellent advice from cover to cover. It covers all the things that you need to know. Excellent for first time mums like me. The best thing is that it isn't preachy and is written in a really supportive way. A must read for a new mum and dad. Brilliant!

Although the advice about routines and childcare is all out there, it is hard to follow when sleep deprived with a crying baby. I highly recommend Lisa's book to see you through these difficult early days...I had 5 months of hard graft at night until at my wit's end I took Lisa's advice and that very night my baby slept through for 12 hours, and has done so since (over a week ago). She offers intuitive, intelligent advice with great attention to detail (and a sensitive approach to crying methods which was a great support). Thank you Lisa!

We met Lisa when our first born little boy, Henry was only 4.5 weeks old. He was a dream baby for the first 2 weeks (as they all are) but when he woke up he started crying A LOT and feeding/ sleeping patterns were soon all over the place. Not feeling able to cope with the relentless sleepless nights and cluster feeding/screaming we got in touch with 'our angel'. Implementing the routine from the very day we made contact with Lisa and sticking with it Henry became more settled everyday and I felt able to cope and back in control knowing what I was working towards. Feeding on demand, whatever that means did not work for us or our baby!!! From 8 weeks old, Henry was going to bed well and sleeping soundly from 6.45pm so we had our evenings back!! Hoorah!! By 13 weeks he's was sleeping through the night!! When I say sleeping through the night, I mean sleeping through the night!! Not a peep!! Henry is now 8 months old and still sleeps very well both day and night and is generally a far more settled baby.

If you have an unsettled baby that needs routine, (which I have to say most babies I've come across now as a mum seem to need sooner rather than later) and your feeling like your not coping too well with your new bundle of joy and need structure to your day/night and most importantly want to sleep! then this truly works! I would also advise to read and become familiar with the routine and guidance before baby arrives so you know what your working towards from the very first day. The sooner you start the routine the better I say!!

Lisa......you made all the difference to our experience and Henrys contentment/happiness and we can never thank you enough for your support during a really important time in our lives and of course for all your ongoing support as we progress through all the stages x x x x x

The Matthews xxxx

Full of sensible practical advice, and easy to read without being patronising. A guide rather than a manual so you can do what works for you and your baby. Thanks Lisa :-)

Great book. Very easy to read, even for a sleep deprived mummy. Just wish I'd found it ten months ago before I got into bad habits! This book is one of the best baby books I've read.

This book should be handed out at your first ante natal appointment! I read it when my son was 10 weeks old and wish id had sight of it before he arrived. After weeks of fractious baby and interrupted nights which left him and us tired and miserable the first day we followed Lisa's sensible advice our son slept for 5 hour stretches only waking once for a feed; compared to the usual 2 or 3 waking a this was a revelation. Cannot recommend this book highly enough - I've bought it for friends who are expecting as think it's the best book I've read on the first few weeks of parenthood.

I bought this book on a recommendation, and it has been such a useful purchase. It is extremely practical for those who are first time mums that know very little about babies. Unlike other books it actually provides honest, non-judgemental information on everything from before day one. I came home from hospital feeling incredibly sore, tired and shellshocked that I now had a little person that was completely dependant on me, this book got straight to the point and boosted my confidence as a mother.
