I first saw this movie when it was released around 35 years ago. I'm sure that, at that time, it was called "Blind Terror" which, to my mind is actually a better title and more aptly describes the situation in the story. My wife had never seen it so I bought it and, sure enough, it had her sitting on the edge of her seat shouting out "oh no", "look out" and putting the sofa cushions up to her face as the unsuspecting blind heroine's ordeal seemed to go from bad to worse.
The film is well made, with a plausible storyline, and with the suspense carried through right to the end. Mia Farrow is excellent and very convincing as the main character.
The downside (and the reason for giving 4 stars rather than 5) is that the filming, the background music and, of course, the fashions, are decidedly dated now. However, if you can see past this, and if you enjoy a good psychological thriller, this is as good as any and well worth watching.
