4.0 out of 5 stars Old School 21 Nov 2001
By Ben Saunders VINE™ VOICE
Format:Audio CD
Normally old-school goth (a la Bauhaus etc) isn't my thing, but I picked up most of the Sex Gang Children's back catalogue cheap in a sale. Not the most inspired music I've ever heard, but this album seems the best of the bunch and just scrapes 4*. A couple of good songs at the start, but it's all rather samey and a bit cheesy to boot. That said, if you want to buy something by them, I'd recommend this or their Shout & Scream best of.

If you want some old school original gothic music, than you will want to add this CD to your collection. This a great album from a really good gothic band, or even if you are not that fond of gothic it is very melodic with great rythm and bass. Check it out.
4.0 out of 5 stars Diverse Goth Pop Album 6 Oct 2004

This is a reissue of the old Blind album. The regular album cuts are great--Ida-Ho and The Quick Gas Gang are a lot of fun, Dead Metal and Immigrant sound as evil as ever, and Dying Fall and I've Done it All Before are still beautiful and sad. Blind is an unusually well-produced Sex Gang Children album, and the songs will remind you in turns of Theater of Hate, the Beatles, and Adam and the Ants. The first two tracks are bonus tracks. The Friendly Fire Remix of Welcome to My World is indispensable. The version of Boss & Beauty here, however, suffers from a really lame, dated guitar intro. Andi wisely cut this intro out when he included the song on the Medea album. Otherwise, an excellent collection of diverse songs.
