Product Description

Blended marks the third comedy collaboration between stars Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, following their successful onscreen pairings in the hit romantic comedies 50 First Dates and The Wedding Singer.

After a disastrous blind date, single parents Lauren (Barrymore) and Jim (Sandler) agree on only one thing: they never want to see each other again. But when they each sign up separately for a fabulous family vacation with their kids, they are all stuck sharing a suite at a luxurious African safari resort for a week.

I didn't have high hopes for this as I prefered Adam's earlier movies but this one was pretty good. Watched it with the wife and we both had plenty of laughs. Definitely cheesy at bits bit I liked the little nods to the two previous movies they have done together. As usual a few of Sandlers friends make short appearances. Overall a fun movie that ill probably watch again down the line.

Jim (Sandler) & Lauren (Barrymore) are single parents whose blind date is a total bust. However a holiday booking mix up see's both families sharing the same vacation to Africa. Comedy & mayhem ensue.

Overall Blended is a pleasing mix of silly comedy & heartfelt family relationships. Set in an African Safari holiday resort, that's 'blended' mission, is for adults & children of different marriages/relationships to get some alone time, while also allowing them to bond together in sports or safari etc... Jim, Father to 3 girls & Lauren, Mother to 2 boys, are at the forefront of the movies running theme of needing that balance of male & female parent role models in the lives of children of both sexes to fill that parenting gap. Whatever your feelings on that methodology, they implemented it really well here, with both of them being inept to some facets of the opposite sex, yet whose parenting guidance crosses over perfectly into the opposite family. The comedy is hilarious in places with Mr Sandler's brand of humor , from pubescent kid gags, holiday mishaps, awkward/tender relationship bonding & well handled serious subject(s) of coping with the bereavement of a parent etc... also you might appreciate the references from some of Adam's previous movies.

Adam Sandler & Drew Barrymore on screen together once again & the chemistry is still there. They are both great as the heads of their own dysfunctional families, having a good rapport in the fun & believable awkward/transition relationship story. The kids all perform really well & have a good harmony in their roles & the story line. There are some very fun support performances from Kevin Nealon + Jessica Lowe as an over affectionate holiday couple, Terry Crews & his muscles...urm..

Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore star in this romantic comedy. The duo previously acted in the Wedding Singer from the same director.

I found the film enjoyable and light hearted. It is not an oscar material film. Do not expect seriousness and sophistication. It is meant to be fun and silly. This is a typical Adam Sandler's film, that I have watched. He is a lot older. He has not lost the touch as a fine comedy actor. The plot is about two single parents Jim and Lauren. The first blind date turns into a discaster. They both go different directions, without the intending of meeting again. There is a coincedence, as the two meet on an South African holiday with their children. How is this possible? There are plenty of laughs, as the children are mischievous and cheeky. There is plenty of African humour. The African adventure features the wildlife, a holiday resort, a restuarnt and swimming. The audience laughed out. The humour is plentiful. Can a romance bloosom between the two? The kids are warming to the parents as the film progresses.

Bearing in mind the catergory of film, I would award 4 stars. If you looking for a film with laughter, I would recommend the Blended. It will not be everyone's cup of tea. I enjoyed it as a whole. If you are looking for something sophisticated serious, look eleswhere.

Pretty enjoyable movie starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, again cast together in this rom com. I think it lacked some of the oomph of 50 First Dates, but these two work well and look as though they're having fun.

'She' has two scary sons and an ex husband and 'He' has three wonderful girls with no mother. The story from start to finish has us bouncing around waiting to see just how this 'maybe' relationship pans out.

I gave it 4 Stars because I got a bit fed up with the frequent interruption of an Entertainment Group with the lead guy dancing around, grinding his hips and generally singing in your face, while the two families are separately trying to enjoy an impromptu holiday at the same African resort. They don't realise it at first, but they are at a specially arranged "Blended" holiday break (you'll understand the meaning of this if you watch the film, I don't want to give the significance of this away, or it might spoil it for you).

All in all it's worth watching as it does have quite a lot of laughs, the children are great and there's a kind of old fashioned end to the movie, which leaves you smiling.

Format: DVD
Jim (Adam Sandler) is a widower who is a manager for Dick's sporting goods. He is raising three daughters as tomboys. Lauren. (Drew Barrymore) organizes closets and is divorced struggling with two sons. They meet on a blind date at Hooters that for some reason did not go well. What is clear is that the daughters need a mom and the boys need a father.

Through a series of improbable circumstances the two families are thrust together on an African adventure with predictable results.

The film had a feeling of "Just Go With It." Sandler and Barrymore create great on screen chemistry. It is immaterial that you know what is going to happen, because you want it to happen. The kids were great on screen too.

Heart warming and fun film.

Parental Guidance: No f-bombs, sex, or nudity. Adult themes.
