This sixth volume of the Bleach manga continues the duel between Ichigo and the Quincy Uryû. With the consequences of their duel escalating beyond what was expected the two of them are forced to work together to save the town. This volume also sees Orihime and Chad introduced to the world of spirits and the past finely catches up with Rukia.

This volume isn't quite as good as the previous volumes for some reason despite some quite good action and some nice background on Quincies in general and Uryû in particular. In essence this volume feels like it is setting things up for the future volumes and while this is not a bad thing it does leave this volume somehow lacking. The cliff-hanger does leave things interesting for the next volume though so I am looking forward to that.
