Product Description

Product Description
The execution of Ichigo's friend Rukia has begun, yet Ichigo himself is nowhere in sight. In a matter of seconds, the power of one million zanpaku-to will slice through Rukia as punishment for sharing her Soul Reaper powers with Ichigo. Is this really how things are going to end?!

About the Author
Bleach is author Tite Kubo's second title. Kubo made his debut with Zombie Powder, a four-volume series for Weekly Shonen Jump. To date, Bleach has been translated into numerous languages and has also inspired an animated TV series that began airing in Japan in 2004. Beginning its serialization in 2001, Bleach is still a mainstay in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump. In 2005, Bleach was awarded the prestigious Shogakukan Manga Award in the shonen (boys') category.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ichigo to the rescue, 4 Nov 2008
By T. R. Alexander (East Anglia, UK) - See all my reviews
(TOP 500 REVIEWER)    (REAL NAME)
With Rukia's execution beginning Ichigo must race to her rescue only to get help from some unexpected quarters. This volume begins two great fights with Ichigo fighting Rukia's brother Byakuya while Yoruichi duals with Captain Soi Fon in a battle that is surprisingly personal.

This is another great volume with some funny moments towards the beginning that soon makes way for some epic action. The plot twists are also intriguing with Ichigo getting help from some surprising individuals as the split in the high ranks of the Soul Society widens. We also get to see the powers of a few more Captain level Soul Reapers and the fight between Soi Fan and Yoruichi is (with the exception of the Byakuya/Renji fight last volume) one of the best in the series that doesn't involve one of the main characters. Bleach is getting extremely good now and it is definitely my favourite manga.

5.0 out of 5 stars The one where Ruika is finally rescued, 10 Sep 2008
By Amanda Parry (Newark, England) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This volume is where the show-down between byakuya kuchki and Ichigo Kurosaki begins, after ichigo had freed Rukia. Also, Soi Fon is re-united with her old commander Yoruichi, and begin a fight, where Soi Fon is desperate to beat Yoruichi to prove she's stronger.

the two fights are continued in volume 19.
