5.0 out of 5 stars Vs. the Espada 14 May 2012
By T. R. Alexander TOP 500 REVIEWER VINE™ VOICE
Format:DVD
The battle against the Espada continues with the Arrancar beginning to gain the advantage. As Rukia's battle against Aaroniero Arruruerie draws to a close, Renji gets some help in his battle against Szayelaporro Granz. Meanwhile Ichigo encounters Ulquiorra once more with unfortunate results before Grimmjow goes against orders in his desire for a battle against Ichigo.

The eight episodes contained in this two disc set are brilliantly entertaining episodes of the 'Bleach' anime. The animation and voice acting for these episodes is as good as usual and they have some truly great action scenes. The highlight of the volume however has to be the battle between Ichigo and Grimmjow, which is arguably one of the better battles from the series as a whole. Another good part of this volume is that there is a little more information on the lifecycle of the Menos and we get to see some of Grimmjow's past. This volume does have some rather annoying comedy in places but this is something that the series has always had so it is relatively easy to ignore.

This volume is very good and well worth a full five stars. Unfortunately the next volume will be starting the unfortunately timed New Captain arc that is out of continuity with the rest of the series entirely.
