An excellent story arc topped only by the next one. I think the reason the 2 bount arcs work better than the other filler arcs (the replacement captain and the zanpakto arc) is because they don't really interupt the flow of the story, they simply provide some action between aizen's betrayal and the emergence of the vizoreds and the arrancar.
My only complaint (and it is a small one) is that to me the bount don't really make good villans once you learn their backstory (with the exception of one or two).
Aside from that as I said before this and the following season are the more entertaining of bleach's filler arcs and make for fantastic viewing.

Part 2 picks up with Uryu in the hospital and the group is attacked by Bounts controlling water. It contains plenty of action, story and a great new intro song. The story also gets better as more is revealed about the Bounts and their intentions to become stronger.
The video and audio quality are all great though wish they would include some extras other than the same old trailers and the usual production art. The packaging also changes as the episode descriptions that are printed onto the inside of the dvd are gone and replaced with some blue flames. Lets face it the inside looked pretty ugly, but they should have brought back the poster you got in the first and second series.

Given this is a filler arc its much better than you expect for sure better than the dire fillers much further along the road that's for sure what can you about it? its bleach and if you're not into it by now you never will be or if you want to dip your toe into the water go back to the start of the series.
But for fans this is good enough to tide us over till the "real" bleach starts again.
