`Memories of Nobody' is the first movie based on the Bleach series and is actually a surprisingly good stand alone storyline. The story takes place out of continuity with the series proper and as such the events have no bearing on the Bleach story. The story sees Ichigo encountering mysterious spirits known as Blanks only for them to be banished by a hyperactive Soul Reaper called Senna. As Ichigo tries to figure out what is going on a situation arises which could lead to the destruction of both the Soul Society and the World of the Living.
`Memories of Nobody' is a very good movie with some nice animation easily on a par with, if not better than, the series itself. Many of the series characters make at least a cameo in the film and the storyline is nicely self-contained and interesting. I would have to say though that the star of the film has to be the character of Senna. An original character created for the movie and is easily the best thing in it, being a fun, interesting and well-rounded character who is a great addition to the Bleach universe.
There are some problems with the movie, mainly that the bad guys are rather one dimensional and never really explored properly, and the English dub is somewhat off in places. These are minor quibbles however and the movie as a whole is a very good film and has a surprisingly emotional ending. `Memories of Nobody' is definitely a must see for any Bleach fan.
