A fighter for the truly hardcore.,

First off, I'll go through the contents of the Limited edition itself, in case there is any confusion.
It contains the game (obviously) a gorgeous art book containing character & location artwork. Finally, if you need proof of how hardcore this game is, the limited edition contains a 2-hour DVD containing fighting tutorials. Yeah... hardcore. So, onto the games modes. There is the usual arcade mode where you fight through 10 computer controlled opponents. If you have 2 controllers attached to your PS3, a second player can jump in an fight against you. Versus Mode is where you can customise whatever you like. 1-2 players, choose your stage, music etc. A very good story mode is also available where you get to learn about the, quite frankly, strange but wonderfully-Japanese world. Select a character and choose the path you want to follow. The training mode where you practice your moves... nothing too complex here. There is a gallery where you can listen to all the incredible in-game music, view screenshots and watch CG events. Of course, there is also an online mode to Blazblue where you can have a lot of fun with up to 6 players. (2 people fighting with the others watching the match) and then you have your ranked games where you can try to get to the top of the leader board. on ranked games, you also earn RP (Rebel points) which you can use to purchase titles. The flashier the match, the more RP you earn. All online matches are also recordable, so if you win a very close match, or completely annihilate a friend, you have proof! If you like fighting games, but hate button bashing, this is the game for you. This game requires practice, even to the most seasoned of gamer. One move-set may work against one character, but completely fails against another. There is a steep learning curve for each character, but once you master them, the rewards are endless as I guarantee you won't ever be beaten by a 12 year old on their first time playing. The games Anime-style comes across very well and all-in-all it is one of the best fighting games available this generation. Some may be turned off by the steep learning curve, others will relish the fact that only the best of the best can get to the top of the leader boards. It's up to you.... (Super) Street Fighter 4 is a great alternative.

Top Fighter from Arc System Works,

The colours of the characters and backgrounds are amazing. The detail is stunning. Online play is a dream. But obviously best to get yourself sorted with a favourite character first (and build up some moves, which is pretty easy). Mine is Hakumen, though it is most fun playing Taokaka with all her bad taste taunts.
Once you get up and running the fighting is as hard as you want it to be. Thankfully there is a Beginner setting for learners like me. Though after only a short time you will be moving onto more advanced settings. I am a long way from the Hell setting... though I make long enough combos, my best so far is 23. The COM is a pretty good opponent. But playing your mates in Versus mode is best for me. And one of the best parts I like about the game is that each characters fights really differently. The way it works is that you might hit upon a really cool combo strategy as Noel to floor Bang time and time again. But next up, when you play Litchi the same thing does not seem to have hardly any effect and you have to find a new route in. That stops it quickly becoming repetitive and really does make it a lot of fun DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED
