This book ordered due to it looking to be a good book, its costing was good it arrived in good time and was also in good order. Have not read it as yet but the saleman did well and even if there is still Hell Up In Harlem s/he is still the Mack with me.

This was a perfect history lesson for anyone who wants to learn more about films in the "blaxploitation" films from the late 70's.

some folks tried to clown these films back in the day etc.. yet alot of these very films kept the lights on in Hollywood and alot of the films have been used and re cycled in various themes and concepts to this very day. these films created far more adventure and fantasy than alot of what the mainstream studios put out showcasing Black talent to me. these films had action and attitude and a fighting spriit. these kind of films had a message and also were about defending yourself,etc.. of course hollywood will keep you clued on watching "The Help" and driving in Ms Daisy" and yet act like they have Progressed so much since back when. this is a very detailed and insightful book.
