Its hard to imagine how Far 'Mark Reeder' has travelled musically & creatively since his days working as rep For Antony Wilson's Factory Records in Manchester in the late 1970's,now residing in the former 'East Berlin' having worked with everybody from Ann Clarke to depeche mode Germanic cousins De-vision!!
In this collection Mark Reeder Works with German Ambient/Electronic hero's Blank & Jones to re-work the Blank & Jones Previous outing 'the logic of Pleasure'.
Highlights include s superb executed Knobb-twidding mix of 'Heart of Wax' & "consequences" featuring Vanessa Daou, ths track could easily transport you to an hedonistic underground 'depeche mode' bunker in 'Mitte' old eastern block of berlin or your own 'Ibiza hideaway' perfect for hot summer days drinking the 'bicardi & ice" musically Mark takes you on a Journey like no other, eventually you feel totally relaxed knowing Berlin's Finest has delivered the ambiance to capture your electronic Heart!!
Other highlites will delight the Factory/New order faithfull as Mark being the music genuis he is see's him working with New order's Bernard Sumner On a summer Hellenic dance stomper " Miracle Cure" enough to delight Ibiza & Mykonian clubbers all over.
Also The Cure's Robert Smith pops up on this collection aswell,I can't leave Bob Out!! The Cures "A forest" is given a lick of a Mark Reeder's colourful makeover bringing the goth classic upto date with a slow thumping spooky dark deep bass to keep you hooked!
Well there you have it an Honest 1st Review of Mark's transformation of the 'login of pleasure' by Blank & Jones remixed to reinterpret the original vocals while given it a welcome 'Mark Reeder' new style and direction mix! Re-ordered is Perfect and a must for Clubbers/factory Disciples eveywhere!

All songs are superb and much better than the original versions. It was a real surprise to me.I'm dying to hear them all the time. But the most important is the quality of the sound. It is not just eccelent, it is out of this earth. If you don't buy it you will loose the opportunity to hear an unbelievable quality of sound which can make you feel better than anything else in this world.

Interesting idea that works 25 April 2010

If you're into Blank and Jones, or just love that 80's electronic/post-punk dance sound, then get this album. My copy ordered through Amazon was certainly an import, with printing on the mailing packaging entirely in German. The music is flawless--the concept of "re-working" the songs into an 80's sound works well. Just too bad this album is not more popular: the original straight-ahead trance songs morphed and re-recorded with vintage synths and tempo changes make already good songs even better.
