Most Helpful Customer Reviews

4 of 4 people found the following review helpful By Captain Pugwash on 4 Jun. 2009
Format: Paperback
For the connoisseur of fine Romantic poetry, and the lover of William Blake's copper-plate illustrations that accompany his poems, there are myriad texts available; although they are of varying quality. This Casebook `Songs' text is aimed at students and teachers and is an accessible and comprehensive analysis of Blake's seminal collection. I would recommend this to A-level students who are embarking upon the OCR or AQA English Literature courses; it is a great way into the poems and contains relevant and coherent critical notes, as well as the poetry. Highly recommended.
