5.0 out of 5 stars A fantastic Blake's 7 adventure!, 1 April 2000
By A Customer
How much I can compliment this story cannot fit the 1,000 word limit.

Everyone is in character, although Vila suddenly becoming a food obsessive rather than an alkie can be overlooked as development rather than a mistake.

Jaqueline Pearce is superb as Serv, I mean Sleer. She is as cold and ruthless as ever and we wouldn't have it anyother way would we?

The ending is particually memorable which I won't give away but will say only that it makes sense.

The addition of brief cast interviews is a nice idea and is something that should have been done for the 'follow up' story The Synderton Experiment.

2.0 out of 5 stars In Name Only, 11 Feb 2000
Apart from bearing the title "Blake's 7" this particular adventure bears little resemblance to the series. Set around the fifth episode of the fourth series, it pays mere lip service to the characters and the ideas of the whole series.

Worse still is the woeful re-casting of two of the original characters (Angela Bruce replacing Josette Simon and Paula Wilcox replacing Glynis Barber). Paul Darrow makes little effort to recreate the role of Avon, rasping his dialogue. I could swear that he is about to yawn.

There is little to speak of regarding the plot, even the teleport problems which quickly take on an added significance do little to lift this story up. Allan Prior could have written a better story.

Perhaps one for B7 completists (myself included) but don't expect it to be entertaining and certainly forget any chance of experiencing the magic that mad the original 1978-81 series enjoyable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent must buy for all Blakes 7 fans around the world., 3 Jan 1999
By A Customer
This cassette contains a typical Blakes 7 episode albeit in audio format, originally broadcast on BBC Radio 4.

The episode is set in the final series of the TV show but does not contain all the original cast members, Soolin being replaced by another actress.

Servelan (J.Pearce) and Avon (P.Darrow) play their usual roles and it wont be long before you are transported back into the world of Blakes 7 for a fantastic re-union. P.Tuddenham provides the voices of Orac and Slave.

This is a must have item in any B7 fan's collection but as it was made for general broadcast it provides an excellent bit of all round entertainment.
