This is the second Bladez helicopter that we have purchased. The first unfortunately had a rotorblade malfunction after it had been crashed once too often, hence buying this as a replacement.
It's a slightly larger and sturdier version than our first purchase, and not quite as easy to control as the smaller model, so patience will be required whilst getting to grips with the controls. However, once you have mastered the technique, it's great fun to fly.
We purchased this for an adult, so if purchasing for a child, supervision is definitely recommended, otherwise the helicopter/objects in your home could end up damaged.
The only criticism we have, is that when our helicopter arived, it unfortunately had a screw missing from one of the supports - if we had not already had another model which we could borrow a screw from, it would not have been able to fly and we would have had to return it.
Anyone who has been considering purchasing a toy helicopter, we would highly recommend this particular model. It's well made, takes knocks quite well whilst learning the controls and looks great with the flashing lights. It's a lot of fun and makes a really great gift.

All the reviews either say that these helicopters are amazing or awful. Unfortunately we got a dud one - not the fun Christmas present I was expecting. This was for my husband so it wasn't bashed about like if it had been operated by a child, and it only managed half a flight before things started going wrong. The helicopter spun wildly and it was impossible to adjust the trim any further. We searched online for ways to fix it and spent ages trying to manipulate cogs and tighten screws but with no luck. After all the hype and excitement it was a big disappointment.
