THIS DVD IS EX-DISPLAY - Very Good to Excellent Condition - BECOMING VERY COLLECTABLE NOW DAYS - HARD TO FIND - BX11 - Maybe A Few Very Fine Surface Marks Due To Cleaning - Tested - Plays Fine (The case may be slightly shop soiled but the disc has been kept in a plastic disc sleeve in a dry area). This dvd has been inspected & tested plays fine maybe a few fine surface marks.

The series is basically a continuation from where the Blade films left off. After the death of Whistler Blade has new allies in the form of Shen and later Christa, who both help him to fight the vampire house of Chthon. A good thing about the series is they occasionally use clips from the films especially showing Blade's mother. The series also shows us about Blade's origins, his gang past and how he met Whistler and why he started fighting vampire's in the first place. There are also some refernces to the rest of the Marvel comic universe. The series still has the vampire killing, emotion and humour that we saw in the films and delves deeper in to who Blade is.
The series pilot had millions of viewers, but the series finished simply because the production company, Spike TV, ran out of money as Blade was it's first production and therefore the show did not finish due to bad ratings.
It is well worth watching if you love the Blade films and comics or just like vampires, violence and a bit of cool music.

Don't Buy this DVD, it is the first DVD in the Series Box Set so you will waste your money when you buy the series

Fantastic series....Snipes is a tough act to follow but Jones gets into the role and makes it his own. Fantastic cast, great story. Has everything you want...action...suspense, horror (gory at times) and a few laughs here and there. The more DVD sales they have the more chance there is of bringing out the second series so BUY IT NOW...NOW!..

Not as good as the movies.
Having watching the original Blade movies i think most of the vampire genre is poor at best. Even more so for even the most popular vampire series. Read more

Blade: wesly's less developed brother
I had to buy this DVD, to see the direction Blade was taking.

Yes, this DVD is the pilot of the TV series
If you would "taste" the series, maybe you can buy this dvd, but for only few more euros you can buy the complete season. Buy it. Read more
