I ordered this Car Camera as it had GPS as well. It arrived very quickly within a couple of days. A nice compact unit which hides nicely behind the interior mirror. The picture quality of the images is brilliant and the GPS and associated map will be really useful in case you have to use it. It shows time, posiion, and speed at any particular moment. When you come to stick it on the windscreen be careful because one touch and that it where it stays.
Nothing in life is perfect and I did have a problem loading the reader nto my computers. I wrote and asked and the email reply came within 12 hours, with links to the most recent programme. I still had a problem however it was sorted very quickly by me. Download and Save the File to the hard disk. Disable Antivirus Sotware and Install the programme. Restart Anti Virus and away we go.
The system records in 1 minute segments which you can download as an AVI file and play back on most Video Player programmes like Win Media Player.
The unit comes with a 4gb SD Disc, so you need not necessarily order a 32GB like I did, but they are always useful
The one downside is the time spent having to hide the Power Wire, although you can put the unit upside down on the dashboard, there is a button in the reader to turn the image left to right, or either way up Altogether a class item

I purchased this immediately after having avoided a sham crash set up close to M25. On arrival the system has to be loaded via a computer or via the car. I tried with computer and found this not straight forward. I then tried it direct in car and plugged the system in and it was up and running in seconds. This product may be slightly more expensive than others on Amazon but it was delivered fast and the quality is excellent and it will save you thousands if you find yourself in a staged crash as I nearly did. The after service from the company supplying the camera also contacted me to ensure I had received the camera and was satisfied. All car drivers should get one of these

I tried one of the really cheap dashcams and whilst it worked it was quite bulky so it wasn't easy to place it out of the way and video quality was poor despite being "HD".

The design of this device means that you can position it behind the rear view mirror with the bottom half (LEDs and event button) showing making it almost invisible to the drive and not taking up any windscreen space. The supplied power cable is plenty long enough to route under the headlining of the car and around the door frame to a power point located by the handbrake on my car. It was nice to see a memory card included in the box as it means you don't have to go and buy one. I have got a 32gb card and will use that just to enable files to be kept longer. I'm assuming that the device just overwrites files as the card gets filled up but have yet to test this.

Fitting the device is pretty simple though the supplied sticky pad sticks straight away so have a practice at where you are positioning it before using the pad. As I said, wiring it in was easy and then add the memory card. Formatting the card on board should mean that you have the correct file structure and all you do is press the button and plug the power supply in and after a few seconds the device beeps and it will format the card. My car power supply is always on so the camera will be too so I may need to see if there is a switched supply rather than it being always on.

So far I have only used it on some short journeys and it seems to work fine. The quality isn't stunning but if you just want to record events then this should be adequate. The view is quite wide so you get the road and either side of it too, I an playing with the setting of the video (which is done through the downloadable software) to see if that makes any difference.

I researched many dash-cams before choosing this one, and I'm very happy with it. The sd card is a bit fiddly to insert but formatting is easy, and I bought it because it not only records during the time the ignition is on, but if it is hard-wired it will record shunts when parked and unattended.

Not bad, however didn't really work for me. My car has got light and rain sensors built into the panel underneath the mirror. Unfortunately the way the CW-100 unit is built (it is long - not much less than "old school" Nokia phone - and the mount is in the top part of it with the camera being on the bottom) makes the camera being quite far away from the wind screen. I have either had the sensors box visible in the view of camera or it was sticking right to my face in the car. I have managed to position it finally, which was very hard without any display screen. The small resolution of the recording didn't allow to read almost any number plates. Also - which pushed me to sending it back - when turning the car off and at the same cutting the power off to the unit - it was deleting the current recording!!!. That means - I have never had any recording when parking. That is serious issue in the case of an accident where power to the camera would be cut instantly...

Few good sides of CW-100:
It seems to be good quality plastic not very flimsy. Also the G-sensor recording works well (for example when breaking suddenly). Also there are firmware updates available on the manufacturers website. Software provided by Blacksys for watching videos is also very good.

As mentioned earlier - it didn't work for my needs. Seems to be good quality, but picture quality could be better (like in CF-100) and it has got design flaw.

I went for E-prance mini 0803 and I am very happy with it.
