I purchased this book on the recommendation of a freind as I was venturing into custody as the custody officer. I must say that I wasn't disapointed as the book contains everything you need to know to be a custody officer, is well presented and layed out and is easy to read. It is also a good read for anyone studying for their Sergeants or Inspectors OSPRE exam.

Unhappy to discover that it is an old edition and all my peers have edition 4. Not a huge issue but given I paid the same as them I feel cheated.

Bought just prior to commencing custody sgt duties. This is as detailed as you would expect from Blackstones, but with easy reference sections you can refer to on the desk !
Bit pricey but very worthwhile if it keeps you within the codes of practice.
