1.0 out of 5 stars Spend more on something better 14 Mar 2008
After reading a previous review and taking into consideration the price I had a low expectation of this product anyway. As I only needed this item for a few days use I didn,t really want to pay more for a better quality item. Think of this as a DIY project rather than a finished product. The nuts, bolts and washers supplied are little more than useless and some were the wrong size. However buy yourself some decent nuts & bolts and with a little effort it can be made into a useable item, although if you want a truck for regular or heavy use pay more and get something better quality.

1.0 out of 5 stars If you have a choice of two buy the other one 20 Oct 2007
Verified Purchase
I have just taken receipt of one of these and it is by far the biggest mistake i've made in buying stuff for my garden. Apart from the fact that it is cheap and nasty, assembly was hindered by that fact that most holes did not line up and when used as a trolley it is very limited and you have to stoop something terrible to push it, so not recommended for people with back ache. I should have spent a bit more and got a better engineered piece of equipment. I live and learn!

2.0 out of 5 stars Wheel supporting brackets very weak 4 Jun 2009
I purchased one these trucks a bit ago, I found the triangular brackets that support the front big wheels started to collapse.
I found if these were re-designed or strenghtened in some way it would be great for home and garden etc.

1.0 out of 5 stars About as sturdy as a house of cards 18 July 2010
By rammo
This sack truck completely let me down. It is poorly designed and consists of flimsy components.

The wheels are smooth plastic (so no good for rough or uneven ground such as long grass or soil) and the design is such so that they slide around on the axle, giving them a tendency to buckle. It might be ok to move stuff a short distance along concrete, but if you want to transport anything across rough ground, forget it.

The horizontal mode is a complete waste of time. The black mesh surface only attaches to the frame at one end and comes off very easily. Each time you put it back on, you have to bend the bit that attaches to the frame, which means inevitable they will snap. The mechanism for attaching the handle to the frame for horizontal mode is not secure and the handle keeps coming off. The handle itself felt pretty flimsy but in truth it hardly got used because it kept coming off the frame.

The main frame (red part) is sturdy and well built but I found it too narrow for practical purposes, so that, in combination with the poorly designed wheels/chassis, the thing kept tipping over.

In case anybody from the manufacturers reads this, I kept well within the weight limit. All it had on it was a cooler box, a gazebo and a couple of tents.

4 weeks after I bought it, it went to the tip. Not fit for purpose. Complete junk.

1.0 out of 5 stars I would like my money back 16 July 2010
By r.ellis
I bought this to carry 4 crates of cider into Glastonbury. On a flat field the truck started to fall apart after about 250 metres. I then hit a slightly bumpy track, but in a queue so it was slow moving traffic, not really bearing any strain, and after about one kilometre one of the small wheels had started to buckle and a big wheel had fallen off. I then had to carry my load which quite frankly made me very angry that I had wasted 20 on a piece of rubbish that wasn't fit for purpose. I've sent an email to Amazon over 3 weeks ago asking for my money back but have had no response.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not a good buy 16 Nov 2009
Firstly it comes without assembly instructions. I put it together but had loads of washers & rings left over? The handle is too low for an adult when in the trolley position. The base plate is too narrow & even a 25kg sack falls off in the upright position. Not at all sturdy. Waste of money even for occasional use.

2.0 out of 5 stars bit disappointed 8 Sep 2009
the delivery of this sack barrow was very quick so I have no complaints about that.
the barrow is ok if you want to use it upright but it is rubbish it you want to use it flat as the handle is only 19ins long. my grandson is 10years old and it is just the right size for him. I don't know who designed this handle but they certainly did not have adults in mind. dee yorkshire.

1.0 out of 5 stars Wheels Fell Off My Trolley 9 Sep 2010
By Paulvis
This was ok as an upright Sack Truck but when used as a trolley - as shown in the picture - the small castors at the back couldn't even carry 30 Kg, much less than the 60Kg advertised.

This was because the bar that holds these castors is made of such a thin piece of steel and is welded to the structure at a bad angle that it twisted and cracked after just a few days use, thus putting an extra strain on the small castors, one of which eventually popped it's bearings and broke off.

The worst of it was, nobody stocks these kinds of replacement bolt-fixed castors - I tried ScrewFix & B&Q but they only had ones with plate fittings.

I was using it while I was away from home and meant to return it when I got back but missed the cut-off date by a day.

Like I said it works OK as a light-weight Sack Truck but as a trolley, I'm very disappointed.
