4.0 out of 5 stars Thriller not Horror 9 Sep 2010
Format:DVD
Firstly, this is not a horror film, it is a thriller. Do not expect blood and gore, this is more chilling and makes you think about what you would do if you were to find yourself stuck in a lift with two other strangers. As other reviews state the movie does move along at quite a slow pace, but it is intriguing. I'd say rent this one, its worth a watch, but one you may not want to add to your collection.

4.0 out of 5 stars A suprising treat of a film! 2 April 2009
By Miss K TOP 500 REVIEWER VINE™ VOICE
Format:DVD
I am very surprised with the low rating this film has received. People seem to be under the impression that this is a horror film - this is NOT a horror film at all and should not be classed as such - it's more of a psychological thriller.

The best way to enjoy this film is to not bother reading the synopsis - I think it gives too much away. I watched this on DVD knowing nothing of what the film was about and thanks to some very wooden acting, I did think in the first 5 minutes 'Oh great, another trashy low-budget film' but I was very pleasantly surprised. Three strangers are stuck in a lift and 'cabin fever' ensues. As time goes on, each of the characters starts to unravel and we realize each of them has a story to tell ... and secrets to hide.

The way the film has been shot really adds to the claustrophobic tension and there are some good twists and gruesome shocks that I certainly didn't see coming. I love the thriller genre and found this to be a really original film. It's not jumpy or action-filled but it is dramatic. I highly recommend it although once again, please just ignore the synopsis. Also it's not a very long film and there weren't any DVD extras on my copy so it's probably better to rent this one rather than buying it!
