5.0 out of 5 stars A Keeper! 5 Dec 2008
Format:Paperback
The hero needs to recover an heirloom before his mum learned it ever left the family's hands. The heroine challenges him to marry her to have it back. It was aimed at making him run away. She is stupefied when he accepts. And as a true alpha male, as soon as he accpets, you wouldn't know it was not his idea: he completely takes control of the whole situation! Now it is the heoine who is running scare!

A story that began with hatred evolves step by step into wonderful story. The reader can see how they learn to live with each other, how they fall in love, how loving their relationship is. It is wonderful love story.

I liked the fact that the heroine had a PhD and was smart, had a good job before getiing married and that her brains were valued by her husband.

I also liked the fact that the passion between them was devastating. When they looked at each other, it was so hot it was uneblievable!

Well done Sarah Morgan. It's a keeper.

PS: The story is a bit like Bond of hatred. I loved Bond of hatred, but I prefer this one: it is more hot, and the hero and heroine have a more interesting, passionating relationship.

4.0 out of 5 stars Blackmailed by Diamonds, Bound by Marriage 9 Jan 2009
By Mrs K
Format:Paperback
Angelina Littlewood blackmailed Nikos Kyriacou into a marriage in exchange for the Bandizi Diamond which belongs to the Kyriacou since generations ago. She sought revenge on him and that was the way she could carry it out. They fought for their attraction for one another just after meeting. After the wedding she realised that she has become the blackmail victim and not the other way round. Nikos was looking forward to their marriage life, at her dismay. He seduces her on their wedding day. Later she finds out that she should not have attempted any revenge as he has been innocent. I felt sympathy the way he took blame at no choice. I also felt sympathy the way Angelina had to put up with her mother favouring her sister over her and putting her down especially when she was supporting her fianancially. I was happy when she was leaving UK for Greece indefinatly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice work! 3 Jan 2007
Format:Paperback
FROM THE BACK COVER:

Blackmailed into marriage...and into the bridal bed!

The Brandizi Diamond came into the possession of the Kyriacou family generations ago. It has traditionally been passed down to the eldest son to offer as a gift to the woman of his heart...

When the diamond comes into beautiful Angelina Littlewood's possession, Nikos Kyriacou knows he must do everything to get the jewel back. But Angie has her own, very personal reasons for wanting to keep it - and for wanting revenge on Nikos!

She decides to end Nikos's hedonistic lifestyle once and for all - by marrying him. Blackmailing Nikos into a wedding may be one thing, but Angelina discovers that actually being married to the gorgeous, arrogant Greek is quite another... For Nikos has one demand. As his wife, she will be expected to share his life...and his bed!

I think the idea of the story is not a new one, not exactly the same, but when I read the plot I remember "BOND OF HATRED" by Lynne Graham.

Since I love it very much, I love this one, too.

The characters are almost the same, but here Ms.Morgan wrote the heroine as a PhD graduated.

The last chapter (ending) is not quite smooth in my opinion, as if Ms.Morgan wanted to finish it quickly.

I'd rather she have it in different situations just like you wrote "SALE OR RETURN BRIDE".

I love your writing style anyway, so compasionate and breath-taking.

Look forward to more books from you, Ms.Morgan.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Breath of Fresh Air For Harlequin Presents 13 Aug 2009
By Danielle "The Book Huntress" - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Mass Market Paperback
Okay don't let the goofy name turn you off. This was my first book by Sarah Morgan and I really loved it. It was just fresh but it had the elements I love in Harlequin Presents. I really loved Angelina as a heroine (she made the book for me). She was a fiercely intelligent and fearless woman. She did what she thought was right regardless of the consequences. I love how Angelina had no qualms about saying exactly what she thought to a man like Nikos, who is used to having people jump at his command. She was her own woman, although love changed her and caused her to be willing to give to the one she loved.

I also liked how although she blackmails the hero into marriage, he turns the tables on her, kidnaps her and makes it a real marriage. He is head over heels for her and bowled over by his attraction to a woman who is admittedly plain, and doesn't seem to like him very much. It has some steamy sexual moments that are very well-written and add to the charcaterization of the characters. This is just a fun, great book and I recommend it to readers who have felt a little tired of the more recent Harlequin Presents books and want some new blood to shake things up, but also have the classic feel of the romance series there in spades. After reading this book, I made a point of buying/reading Morgan's books. So far I have only been disappointed with one of her books that I've read since this one.

Some readers felt like this was a rehash of the Lynne Graham classic Bond of Hatred. It never even occurred to me until I read it in a review of this book off Amazon after reading it. Yes it has a similar plot device, but Morgan went in her own direction and wrote a modern, snappy romance that will cause you some hours of enjoyment and perhaps send you back for a few rereads.

5.0 out of 5 stars good book 12 April 2013
By Samantha K - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I really enjoyed this book except for the ending which felt very rushed. Bond of hatred is one of my all time favorite books so i was happy to read a book that was similar. I am so tired of the "mistress" theme with hp and this was a welcome reprieve. I love a strong heroine and she was strong and highly intelligent. Also, the presentation of the heroine as a beautiful woman hidden beneath her apparent "plain" appearance was interesting. The hero was a very likeable alpha male. I would give this book 4 1/2 stars because of rushed ending but i can't. It deserves more than 4 stars because it is really good so hence 5 stars.
3.0 out of 5 stars Mixed feelings 3 Jun 2013
By Gypsy Rose - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It's not Sarah Morgan's best work. It's well written but there are parts in here I seriously don't like and parts that I do. I hate when the man forces the woman (not rape per se), even if she's responding. I also hate reading about doggy style in books. For some reason to me that's just... animalistic. There's only 2 species on the planet that mate face to face and I'd hate to think that humans slip back in evolution. It wasn't even done to strike up that thought, just dominance and he walks away. It was just for the 'woah' factor, nothing important. I've read 1 book where I didn't mind it but she (the author) treated it well. The ending was rushed and utterly predictable.
I did like that she's the one blackmailing him into marriage, that's a different take on things. Though there was too much time harping on it after the fact.
Like I said, mixed feelings because I like Sarah Morgan's books but this one had elements that I didn't care for.
4.0 out of 5 stars CAUTION POTENTIAL SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!!! 5 May 2013
By Vanessa - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Mass Market Paperback
Dr. Angie Littlewood is approached by Nikos Kyriacou for a piece of jewelry that her sister had on her when she died at his house. Angie won't return the necklace until Nikos agrees to marry her for two years - she is hoping for some revenge on the playboy who she believes is responsible for her younger sister's death. He will be giving her the one thing that he refused her sister by marrying her and she hopes to force celibacy on him! They don't seem to get along and sparks do fly between them, but you know they really want each other. Tables are quickly turned on her as is the case in these revenge stories.

Apparently Angie has very low self-esteem due to her POW mother. She continues degrading and putting down Angie throughout the story and there really is no change in her. While sometimes Nikos came across as rather amusing to some of Angie's questions. I truly enjoyed their interactions throughout the story. He is rather mean at times, but she did blackmail him in to marriage.....so I let it slide. Nikos even shows a bit of jealousy when he takes her out and she makes friends w/ a male colleague of his.

Soon they are both feeling more for the other than they had ever expected and then Angie learns the truth about her sister. The reasons that he didn't reveal the truth to Angie before seemed plausible, but Angie should have known a little bit more about her sister to begin with. However, Angie didn't really know her at all! It wasn't all her sister's fault though, and Nikos does own up to that as well. Yet we now need some angst - cue in the eavesdropping, the not trusting things and we are off! Angie does the immature thing - she thinks a good thing - runner! More nastiness from her mother, but Nikos doesn't give up either! I have to say that while Nikos could be mean and Angie's morals were questioned w/ her blackmail - I gave them passes because of the volatile nature of emotions due to what had previously happened in both their respective lives - however, mama doesn't get a pass! She truly was a villainous POW that needed to be smacked a few times!!
