I just took delivery on this and though it is daytime I went into the very dark cellar and plugged in this bulb.....WOW. This works far better than I was expecting, it is absolutely brilliant! Perfect for the halloween party i'll be having. I am so pleased with it I am going to buy another one right now, so I can have one at each end of a very large room. Have to also mention that this is an energy bulb too... so it will last longer and save on the energy bill. 5*

I was sceptical as I'd read about some of the rip off black light bulbs. This was fine. Although it didn't seem very strong, the black light effect spread a long way and did make white's glow. Cheap special effect for a Halloween do - and it was worth the money.

I spend a lot of time writing with pen and ink - one ink I use is invisible but glows under UV light. It's perfect for encouraging my young cousins to write (secret messages are fun!). Anyway, I needed a black light for a desk lamp so we can use this ink.

The range of the light is excellent, it fills my 12'x12' dining room, and things glow beautifully (well, except for bits of fluff on a black jumper which glow annoyingly).

This light bulb does all I expected of it - I can't fault it. I'm just hoping it has as long a life as these new fangled bulbs are supposed to.
