4.0 out of 5 stars Not the classic line up, but still classic rock! 28 July 2012
Please ignore the other 1 star review for this DVD. While Ricky Medlocke hasn't been involved with Blackfoot since the mid 90's, the rest of the band have been carrying on the name until last year - check Wikipedia for more on that. This is a band still on top form, with two of the originals still in the band (Charlie Hagrett and Greg T Walker), another (Bobby Barth) whose involvement stretches back to 1984, and another southern star in Jay Johnson from the Gary Rossington Band and the Southern Rock All Stars, on guitar and vocals. They cover all bases in this set, from the Strikes album to more recent material, but all of it is superb, with a nice tribute to the late Jackson Spires who died a couple of years previously. The band is as tight as can be, the music rocks as it always did, and the crowd certainly love it! If you like classic Blackfoot, buy this, it's as good as you'll get without Ricky Medlocke, and as he has now bought the name and sacked this line up, replacing it with a completely new and young band, it's the only way you'll see these guys perform as Blackfoot now.

1.0 out of 5 stars DVD Review : Blackfoot. 23 Jan 2012
By Julian
O - What a shame and disapointment. In Short : Don't bother buying this. Only Greg T Walker of the "classic" line-up of Medlocke / Hargrett / Spires. The "new" vocalist does not suit the music and wrecks the few Blackfoot classics on the DVD.

3.0 out of 5 stars Same As "Live In Kentucky" 9 Aug 2009
By S. Ruggier - Published on Amazon.com
Well once again we have been duped by the manufacturers. This is the same show as "Live In Kentucky". When I ordered it I thought I was getting another Blackfoot show. Much to my dismay, as soon as the opening interview segment started I knew I had seen this show before. I realize this version predates the "Live in Kentucky" DVD but still, whats up with that? Buyer beware if you already own "Live in Kentucky" you are just getting the same show in a different package. Its still a great show and should be enjoyed by all but again, why do the studios keep doing this to us consumers? They show time and again they really only care about one thing, yes you guessed it, the almighty dollar.

I didn't know this dvd even existed, but I'm glad I found it. No, there's no Rickey Medlock, but there's still 2 original members, and the other guys are very quality players and stick true to Blackfoot music. If U like Blackfoot at all U'll like this one.

4.0 out of 5 stars blackfoot: train train 31 Jan 2008
By ldk - Published on Amazon.com
First, let me tell you that Rickey Medlock is not on this DVD. Next, let me say that this is a good DVD.I think it is worth the money, even without Rickey. If you are a Blackfoot fan, this is a must have. The sound quality is great, as is the video. This is not an old recording.
