This storyline consists of the ‘parallel’ Blackest Night stories running through Green Lantern #43-#52, and is collected as Blackest Night Green Lantern TP (Green Lantern Graphic Novels). Although it is running in parallel to the main storyline, these are actually more interesting than many of the other Green Lantern Corps and Blackest Night related issues, as there is more ‘personal stuff’ on display, and not just Hal Jordan, as both Jon Stewart and Sinestro get some front-of-page time; and Mongul’s storyline from the Green Lantern Corps also gets a serious resolution. I rate this as more interesting than the main big-battle series, but, unfortunately, it is all part of the same seamless storyline, and needs to be read in conjunction with the Blackest Night and Green Lantern Corps volumes.

Blackest Night Green Lantern is the greatest comicbook I have have ever read.
While I was reading this I felt a giddy, exited feeling inside my stomach becuase the story was so amazing.
All the Corpses are at war,the light is rising, but a darkness is approching, the dead Lanterns of the past come back to destroy the light as the black lanterns and Hal Jordon (Green Lantern) must ally himself with such villains as Sinestro, Atrocitus, and the humorous Larfleeze along with heroes such as Star Sapphire, Saint walker and The mysterious Indigo-1.
This book is filled with battles which would shake planets and tales from destant planets, this book has everything a Comic book fan would want in there collection.

This book is what I expected the main Blackest Night book to be. It was a brilliant read from start to finish. Absolutely fantastic sci-fi fun & adventure. This is a must read for all Green Lantern fans. Easily the best of the Blackest Night books.

For me this is as good a story in comic books i have ever read. Geoff Johns has slowly been building towards this event for some time and it does not let you down.

If you have never read a green Lantern comic before then i am afraid this is not the place to start, you should start with Rebirth and work you way from there on in.

I have mentioned in other BLackest night reveiws that you can read the tales in them books and them books alone but don't read all of them, this Event in DC comic book history has been amazing.

Buy em all but read them comic by comic in order (get a reading order from the net), my only criticism for the BLackest night event is the total pain in the A*** it is to read it, while it is nice to lump collections together i would have preferred it if DC would have brought these hardbacks out in a more reader friendly collection. let me tell you it is quite annoying reading one comic then having to put that book down and pick another up, if there were only 3 books to worry about not a big problem but when there are 7 books to flip backwards and forwards with it is irritating. but that is a criticism on DC and their publication methods not on this story or artwork.

My only fear now is that when i eventually get round to reading Brightest Day it will be nowhere near as good as this event
