Product Description

Synopsis

Blackbook Sessions shows the ongoing process with writing, from sketches to the finished pieces. These include quick thoughts, sketched scenes, and other ideas that have come with trial and error to get to the final style. The sketches here are rough - with all their strengths and weaknesses. While these were once reserved for an intimate circle of friends, a foundation to study and build their skills from, and something to discuss, this once private raw style is now yours to study.

This book is..basically phat with a capital P. For those of you that dont know what a black book is, a black book is what a graffiti artist uses to design his tags on before he produces them in full, it is also used for jus general sketches in marker pens. a black book is to a graffiti artist what a skateboard is to a surfer. Through the growing popularity of the black books themselves, ginsko has chosen to publish a collection of the best of the black books. Some of which were passed round the whole of america from artist to artist. The designs range from basic tags to whole out and out murals, over all a very cool small little book to own.

This was the first graffiti book I had bought, mainly out of interest, as I am a keen graffiti 'doodler'.
I recieved the book the day after ordering and was amazed by the variety and diffence in styles of the different artists. Its a huge inspiration and GREAT VALUE. BUY IT. BUY IT. BUY IT...
