I've got a plan, and it's as hot as my pants!,

After the over-budget tomfoolery of the first series, Ben Elton was draughted in to make the jokes faster, the sets cheeper and the humour funnier. If you don't wee yourself at Baldricks arrow-in-the-groin, or trump in amusement at Flashearts "hot pants", then get yourself a sense of humour. Classic comedy at its most historic.

This review is from: Blackadder - Foretelling [VHS] [1983] (VHS Tape)
Blackadder is easily the funniest historic series ever. The Archbishop is the best out of the three, when Blackadder is appointed Archbishop by his father. But then all manner of problems come up! I think this series, the first, was the beginning of a string of excellent performances, I just loved the funny comments, brilliant acting and the fact that all the stories there were relevant to history. This video is excellent for people who have not yet seen Blackadder, as it brings the best stories from the first series onto one video. WATCH IT BUY IT AND LAUGH!

The first part of a story never before told...,

This review is from: Blackadder - Queen of Spain's Beard [VHS] [1983] (VHS Tape)
What can I say, sheer brilliance. Rowan Atkinson at his best, delivering lines only he could devliver. Tony Robinson plays a much brighter Baldrick in the first series, his task in life seems to be to keep his master from trouble and harm! Percy (who rides a horse rather less well than another horse) complements Atkinson's character perfectly. A good nights entertainment with some big stars of the day tucked in there for good measure. Frank Finley, Brian Blessed to name but a few.
