I ordered this by chance when searching for a case for the blackberry torch which wasn't available with the product nor at numerous phone stores on the high st. I thought it might be an unnecessary gimmick but it turned out to be quite pleasing to look at as well as a useful accessory. The clock face automatically appears as you dock the phone on its side which is fun and effective - makes me want to go off travelling! I'm pleasantly surprised with the purchase, I just hope it looks as good over time - shame it doesnt have a case when travelling to stop it getting scratched knocking about in your bag (maybe thats a use for that single sock that always seems to lurk in my drawer!)

BlackBerry makes cases, sleeves and stands for it's mobile phones. In this case a SYNCPOD or a CHARGE POD. The beauty of this product is that it fits the Torch 9800 horizontally and once inserted, your BlackBerry goes into bedside mode with an analogue/digital clock display which dims when the lights are out. It's the only device to be so effective as a bedside table clock with a built in alarm that you can reset according the instructions. The pod is shiny plastic/lacquer and a chrome rim, exactly as the picture suggests. As the BlackBerry has a rear camera level with the casing, if you place it on a flat surface there is likelihood the lens will be scratched. The phone must always be in a holster or in a SYNCPOD/charge pod at all times. It uses a microUSB charger and as BB users will know, the Bold 9700's adapter will work with the Torch 9800 upgrade. A must have product albeit pricey but if you shop around on Amazon, you will indeed find a bargain. Like Apple, BB also target their accessories at £25.00. I have three of these, one for work, one for my bedside table and one for my desk at home!

OMG! how did I ever get along without this? This has got to be one of the best things I have bought this year. It is of solid build and feels alot more expensive than it is. I really love the fact you just plug your original charger into the back of the docking station and then just slide the blackberry torch down into the top. Once located, the clock automatically comes up and rotates longways for easy viewing. Great bedside clock/alarm, would really recomend this to anyone thinking of buying a docking station for their blackberry torch.
