As the previous reviews highlighted this is a superb bit of kit, you can leave this pod on your desk or bedside table drop your Blackberry (mine is the 9780) into the pod and hey presto a charging smart phone, ready for action all the time, the clock display and able to screen calls easily is a bonus to the superb looking accessory, why blackberry do not include this with the original package I am not sure.
The retailer delivered promptly and reasonably packaged, was not sure if the description and the claim of being compatible with my 9780 were correct but am glad I went ahead with the purchase, must have original Blackberry accessory for the style aware out there!

Amazon Verified Purchase
Although the blackberry comes with a charger, I'm finding this little docking gizmo is the perfect "luxury" item to have permanently stationed on my desk - it acts as a phone holder as well as a charger. The phone simply sits in the cradle and there's no need to plug anything directly into the phone.
I also brought an otterbox phone case and unfortunately, I have to take the phone out of the case to charge it up now. That's the only grumble I have but that is more to do with my case rather than the docking pod.
The pod does not come with any leads or chargers so keep the one that came with your blackberry as you'll need it to connect to the pod.

I am over the moon with this item, I only use it with the mains charger as a bedside alarm clock so it is constantly plugged in. I had to change a few settings but when placed in the pod it shows a dim clock face all night and the coverage LED stops illuminating the room all night thankfully when it automatically goes in to bedside mode. I also like the dim white/blue 'ON' light built in so you do not have to fumble around looking for it when the lights are off! I recommend this to all 9700 owners.

Used this item for a BB9780 model, works fine once the phone is "seated" in the pod which works well and is a nice option on the desk.

Blackberry 9700 Charging pod
Received this fairly quick. It's a very nice looking charging pod, however the pod is little on the clumsy side when trying to put the blackberry in.
