Robert Neill is best known for "Mist over Pendle" and other novels involving belief in witchcraft, but here he turns his talent for characters and places to the varying shades of feeling and action among Tyneside dwellers during the build up to the 1715 Jacobite Rising

Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
Not a bad read but Robert Neil has written better eg Song of Sunrise (Mills of Colne) and Mist over Pendle.
