Ordered yesterday for two pounds ninety-ninety (bought delivered), arrived this morning for a 'signed' delivery... You really can't get much better than that!
I've been using Black and White for some time now and was first recommended this 'Pluko' product from my barber, who always worked some into my hair after having it cut. It was a no brainer to start buying it as it offers a wonderful alternative one of my other favourite products,
Fudge Hair Shaper Creme, which offers different results but is equally better than most other tubs of rubbish on the market.
The reason I love this 'Pluko' is because of the sheer simplicity; it retains your natural hair colour whilst offering a descent hold, which is what a hair dressing product should be all about. But we all want different things these days as styles have become more sophisticated, and so 'Pluko' may not appeal to everyone. It doesn't cement your hair like other products, nor does it offer an array of 'advanced technologies' that you soon become overly reliant on.
I have a fairly short back and sides with a lot of length of top, which means that I can go for smart or messy looks, depending on my mood (or company), and by only rubbing a small amount of this 'Pluko' onto the fingertips and applying it 'through' the hair (from the base), you can really get a depth and shine that other more expensive products simply don't offer. But like with any product, normal household chores are required - blowing your hair before applying 'Pluko' will offer vastly greater results, and its important to only use tiny amounts. The one complaint I hear all too often with waxes such as this are guys that say "Its too greasy". Its not, they're just overly liberal!
The product is topped off with a lovely smell that is fresh and not overly powerful, reminding me somewhat of more natural sources such as coconut. Its difficult to review hair products in particular because everyone is going to have different styles and kinds of growth in their hair, but as a guy with natural straight/thick hair who just wants some texture added to those locks, for something that washes out easily and doesn't look as though its been 'shovelled on', this is the stuff. Certainly don't be fooled by the amazing price - this is obviously a modest company in an age were the 'strength' of gels is defined by scales and prices!
