I've got to say, they certainly weren't what I would call Velvet. They were very coarse and stiff, not at all what the word "Velvet" conjures up!

When this product arrived two days late i wasn't very happy with what the contents were. The bag were as thin as paper and certainly were not velvet, also the drawstring on them did not actually do much as as soon as i closed it it reopened itself again. RUBBISH!!

I was generally pleased with my purchase, but the bag definitely wasn't velvet and the stitching practically falls apart. AVOID THIS IT'S NOT WORTH IT
